Kid Cudi – real name – Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, is a popular American musician, rapper, composer, hit maker, and actor who has been credited as influencing a number of contemporary hip hop and alternative groups. His songs are generally autobiographical, describing despair, loneliness, and alienation as a youngster, as well as his mature fight with alcohol and drugs, as well as spirituality, heartbreak, dissipation, and joy. After the release of his first official full-length effort, a mixtape titled A Kid Named Cudi (2008), which caught the notice of high-profile music producer Kanye West, who signed Cudi to his GOOD Music label imprint by late 2008, Cudi began to earn substantial fame.

The incoming single is a follow up to his last two months release,  which was an impressive one with over 25 million streams in all platforms.

Cudi originally announced “Do What I Want” in an Instagram Live session on April 16, 2020, when he also disclosed the track’s title and that it would be part of the Entergalactic series of songs. On April 30, 2022, he sang the song at his The Smoker’s Club Festival act.
